Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter, “Terms and Conditions” or “Agreement”) govern the rights and responsibilities of the user, both as a visitor and as a registered member, of the National School Security Information Sharing System (hereinafter “NSSISS”) website. By clicking “I accept” the user agrees that these Terms and Conditions, as set out herein, constitute a valid and binding agreement. The user further agrees to abide by all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
SUMMARY
The National School Security Information Sharing System is intended to encourage information sharing among educational administrators, school security personnel and school resource officers.
National School Security Information Sharing System (NSSISS), with an office address at 120 East Main Street, P.O. Box 227, Ramsey, New Jersey, 07446 is completely owned and operated by Emergency Alert Solutions Group, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Corporation, with a mailing address of P.O. Box 166, Great Falls, VA 22066.
ELIGIBILITY
NSSISS Membership is open to Schools, District Administrators and active Law Enforcement Officials, Educational Administrators and Board of Education employees within in the security field.
MEMBERSHIP AND VERIFICATION PROCESS
In addition to agreeing to the NSSISS Terms and Conditions, at a minimum, the verification process for eligible members will include the provision of contact information and identification details, as well as the submission of any other form of authentication required as part of the NSSISS enrollment process. The registered member must also agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under the member’s account or password. The verified member will also be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the registered account and password and for restricting access to the account by non-registered or unverified members. Potential and/or verified members must also be aware that providing false or otherwise inaccurate information constitutes a violation of this Agreement and that violation of the applicable laws, rules or regulations could constitute a crime.
PRIVACY PROTECTION
Contact and/or personal information provided by users of NSSISS will not be shared with, sold or leased to third parties. For additional privacy information, please refer to the NSSISS Privacy Policy (LINK). All applicable laws pertaining to student privacy, confidentiality, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the protection of juveniles will be strictly enforced. For additional guidance with regard to protecting student privacy, users should refer to the U.S. Department of Education Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) https://studentprivacy.ed.gov/
Photos of juveniles are prohibited and will be removed by NSSISS immediately. Open source material that is of an emergent nature and in the interest of the safety of the juvenile, such as AMBER Alerts and missing children notifications will be allowed to remain for viewing. Only juveniles who have been entered into NCIC as missing and endangered should be posted by law enforcement personnel. Sworn law enforcement officers shall not post or forward any information that has been classified as law enforcement sensitive or has been given any law enforcement, military, or government classification.
USER COMMENTS AND CONTENT
As an information sharing platform, certain parts of this website offer the opportunity for users to post and exchange opinions, information, material and/or data. NSSISS does not screen, edit, publish or review comments by members prior to their appearance on the website and comments do not reflect the views or opinions of NSSIS, its founders, agents or affiliates, but instead solely reflect the view and opinion of the person posting said information, view or opinion. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, NSSISS, its founders and agents shall not be responsible or liable for the comments posted by a member, or for any loss, cost, liability, damages or expenses potentially caused and/or suffered as a result of any use of, reliance upon, or posting of the comments on this website.
REMOVAL OF CONTENT/RIGHT TO REVOKE MEMBERSHIP
NSSISS reserves the right to monitor all comments and the right to remove any and all content considered, in its absolute discretion, to be inappropriate, offensive, in breach of these Terms and Conditions or in violation of state or federal law. NSSIS further reserves the right to suspend, delete, and /or deactivate privileges to any member should NSSISS, in its absolute discretion, determine the terms of the Agreement have been violated.
EXPECTIONS REGARDING PROPER USE OF SITE
No member of the NSSISS website may post content or data for which they do not have the right to publish, is defamatory, infringing, illegal or otherwise in violation of these Terms and Conditions. Content found to be in violation of the provisions set forth in this Agreement should be brought to the attention of the site administrator immediately. NSSISS membership shall not be used for any purpose competitive to NSSISS or its affiliates.
MODIFICATIONS OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
NSSISS may, in its sole discretion, modify, add or remove any portion of these Terms and Conditions at any time and in any manner, including the terms of membership, by posting revised Terms and Conditions on the site. Users may not amend or modify these Terms and Conditions (otherwise known as the “Agreement”) under any circumstances. Continued use of this site after any changes to the Terms and Conditions, constitutes acceptance to the changes.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The owner and/or operator of this website shall retain sole and exclusive ownership of all intellectual property rights in all trade secrets, patents, proprietary information, and other knowledge or information in any and all information, data, text, etc. provided or otherwise posted on this website, regardless of the creator of this information, data, text, etc. Users of this website shall not use, utilize, copy, disclose, misappropriate or disseminate any such information, data, etc. without Seller's written prior consent, except in the normal course of use of this website and as otherwise encouraged by this website.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION

If the parties are unable to resolve the matter within a reasonable amount of time, either party may refer the matter to administered mediation. If the parties are unable to fully resolve the dispute or claim through mediation, then either party may file a lawsuit in a court of competent jurisdiction, in accordance with the Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Venue, section below.

The users of the website hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Delaware, and all litigation matters shall be heard and determined by Delaware state or federal courts. The users of the website waive any objection based on lack of personal jurisdiction; improper venue or forum non-convenes.
